ANOTHER SUCCES MudRun4Life Event 2014 - October 18, 2014 we held our 3rd annual MudRun4Life for Suicide Prevention in Lincoln, CA....  over 1,200 People attended and we earned just shy of $24,000 to bless this community with funds for programs that will build self-esteem, help with coping skills and Suicide Prevention.

The Aguilar, Waterlyn & Whalen families have bonded together over the last three years after loosing their young sons to suicide in the summer of 2011.   Travis Whalen son of Tina & Jim Whalen passed away June 1, 2011, followed by Jake Garrett Waterlyn, son of Ron & Kelly Waterlyn on June 19, 2011 and Aldo Aguilar son of Rosa and Alberto Aguilar on September 9, 2011.    These families pulled together to grieve and heal and knew they needed to do something about this epidemic.    Reaching out to their own community who surrounded them with love and support when they lost their sons, knowing they MUST SPEAK OUT to help STOP this EPIDEMIC!!!      Every 13 minutes someone in the United States takes their own life.   This is a staggering number.

What a great event to CELEBRATE LIFE and CHOOSE LIFE - GETTING MUDDY Saving Lives!!!   Due to the drought in California, the mud run needed a location that already had water.    That's where Diane Love came to their rescue.   She OFFERED her property Palm Lake Retreat to make sure the mud run would happen for 2014.

THREE YEARS and a continued SUCCESS ~~ This community knows how to come together and SPEAK OUT!!!  BUSINESS SPONSORS helped this year so much with obstacles - ROBB-JACK built the "No Man is an Island" Straw Tower, Dwyane Witzel Construction & Waterlyn Associates built the Slip-N-Slide, Burke Roofing build the BIGGER and BADDER new and improved GRAND FINALE SLIDE and many others helped prepare the course.

WHEATLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT stepped up and provided not on the buses to transport our participants, but donated the services of the drivers and even donated the GAS!!!     BUZZ Oates Management provided the large parking lots to park all the cars.

DON'T MISS OUT on next year's mudrun BECOME A BUSINESS SPONSOR NOW and even better than that become A OBSTACLE SPONSOR with your company's LOGO on the obstacle!!!     PLANNING already for 2015!!!
