Every fourteen minutes someone commits suicide. Within a three-month period, in 2011 the Lincoln Community suffered the loss of three young men. There has been a rippling affect ever since.

Many of our youth have reached out to community members telling of their suicidal thoughts and since then we’ve lost more to suicide. We don’t have enough resources in Lincoln. It’s time to take action. WE, the parents and our loving community, along with the support of the Lincoln Rotary Foundation, created the first annual 5k MUD-RUN-4-LIFE event, that was held in June of 2012, with over 900 individuals participated in the event with over 700 runners!   In June of 2013, we had over 1,300, participants, not including volunteers.     Register to be a business sponsor or a volunteer for our 2014 EVENT by going to business booth & more page or the volunteer page ! Our mission is to raise funds to help educate, provide resources and do what we can to prevent suicide in our community.

Thanks to your generous donations in 2012, and 2013 we’ve kept our commitment and have continued to invest in our Lincoln community to help our youth and adults.   Some programs we’ve donated to have been Character Combine for Lincoln High School, a year-long character building program beginning for the 2013–2014 school year. Other programs we’ve donated to include Point Break, as well as Soroptimists for teen girls, for self-esteem.   Most recently $7,000 was donated to a program for Lincoln High School for an amazing Peer Program.   We are also working closely with other community leaders with a SUICIDE TASK FORCE.   A new organization has been formed in our community - Lincoln Community Resource Collaborative!!!!    Saving lives, making a difference.

YOU can help us in several ways. YOU can donate  by going to REGISTRATION Page, Begin your payment process or you can help us by spreading the word to your friends and family. Anyone can donate from anywhere, all it takes is a few clicks and you can help save a life.
