The 2013 Mud-Run-4-Life could not have been so successful without the help of endless volunteers and business sponsors, and the donations of time and money.     Our first year 2011, we hoped to have 300-400 people and ended up with 900 people coming to hear our message.   THIS YEAR we had no idea if the momentum would keep rolling and we had OVER 1,300, in attendance, not including volunteers or business booths  .

WE could not have done this without you THANKS for GETTING

Every fourteen minutes someone commits suicide. Within a three-month period, the Lincoln Community suffered the loss of three young men. There’s been a rippling affect ever since.

Many of our youth have reached out to community members telling of their suicidal thoughts and since then we’ve lost more to suicide. We don’t have enough resources in Lincoln. It’s time to take action. WE, the parents and community, along with the support of the Lincoln Rotary Foundation, created the first annual 5k MUD-RUN-4-LIFE event, that was held last year. Over 900 individuals participated in the event with over 700 runners!   THIS YEAR, we had over 1,300.   Register to be a business sponsor or a volunteer for our 2014 EVENT by going to business booth & more page or the volunteer page ! Our mission is to raise funds to help educate, provide resources and do what we can to prevent suicide in our community.

Thanks to your generous donations in 2012, we’ve kept our commitment and invested in our Lincoln community to help our youth. Some programs we’ve donated to have been Character Combine for Lincoln High School, a year-long character building program beginning for the 2013–2014 school year. Other programs we’ve donated to include Point Break as well as Soroptimists for teen girls.  After our 2nd year, June 22, 2013, we are still tallying up the funds earned and are in the process of making plans for how to most efficiently help the people in our community.   We are also working closely with other community leaders with a SUICIDE TASK FORCE.   We will keep you posted.

STAY TUNED FOR Dates for NEXT YEAR.   YOU can help us in several ways. YOU can donate now by clicking the link or you can help us by spreading the word to your friends and family. Anyone can donate from anywhere, all it takes is a few clicks and you can help save a life. Lastly, if you are interested in being a business sponsor or having a business booth at our event, click on our “Business Booth and More” link above.
